A Jesus Culture: We Honor & Serve One Another
Most people treat church like something they attend. Pastor Johnny
Caldera challenges that mindset fast.
In Week 5 of Mission Church’s Jesus Culture series, he lays down a value
that changes how a church actually feels: We honor and serve one another.
Because it’s about valuing people. And people are heaven’s greatest
investment.
Using Matthew 25:14–30, the Parable of the Talents, Pastor Johnny
reframes the story beyond money. At the core, it’s about trust,
responsibility, and what you do with what God puts in your hands, including
the people around you. Two servants are celebrated, not because they
were perfect, but because they were faithful. They moved. They took
ownership. They invested what they were given. And the master’s response
is the moment every believer wants: well done.
Then the warning hits. The third servant doesn’t burn his life down with
obvious rebellion. He just buries what he was given. Passive. Fearful.
Stalled. And that’s the point: neglect is not neutral. A distorted view of God
will keep you stuck, and a closed-handed life eventually becomes an
unfaithful one.
This message is a direct invitation to stop spectating and start serving.
Because Jesus didn’t save you to sit in a crowd. He saved you into purpose
and into family. Honor. Serve. One another. That’s how a church becomes
a witness without trying to be impressive.
If you’ve been on the sidelines, this is your moment. Step in. Join a team.
Be faithful with what’s in your hands.
