Be Fruitful and Multiply

Today, we focus on the foundational command given by God since creation: "Be Fruitful and Multiply." We revisit Genesis 35:1-13, where God reaffirms this command to Jacob at Bethel, marking a pivotal moment in Biblical history. Here, Jacob is instructed to rid his household of idols and build an altar to God, setting a profound example of purification and dedication that paves the way for God's blessings.

This message delves deep into Galatians 5:22-23, emphasizing that the Fruit of the Spirit is not a collection of independent attributes but a singular, holistic fruit that encompasses love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These are not just virtues to aspire to; they are evidence of a life deeply connected to the Holy Spirit.

We also explore the theme of multiplication, not just in bearing fruit, but in expanding its reach to influence and transform others. This call to multiply underpins the Great Commission and reflects Jesus’s desire for His followers to expand His kingdom actively.

As we embark on this journey through each aspect of the Fruit of the Spirit, starting with love, we invite you to engage deeply, allowing the Holy Spirit to cultivate these qualities in you. This isn’t just about personal growth—it's about preparing to make a significant impact in the world around us, fulfilling God’s original command to be fruitful and multiply.
