Made for More: Live Alive
When was the last time you felt fully awake, not just physically, but
spiritually?
In this message from our Made for More series, we step into Ephesians 5
where Paul issues a bold call: “Awake, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and
Christ will shine on you.” This isn’t about going through the motions. It’s
about stepping out of autopilot and learning to live fully alive to God’s
presence, power, and purpose.
Pastor Ezra unpacks four core themes from the text:
Live in Love
Paul reminds us that to imitate God, we don’t need to perform miracles, we
need to walk in love. Real love looks like sacrifice, service, and staying
anchored in grace, not self-interest.
Live in Light
You weren’t just in darkness. You were darkness. Now, you are light in the
Lord. This means rejecting compromise, renaming sin, or hiding in the
shadows. It means exposing darkness and replacing it with gratitude,
clarity, and truth.
Live with Wisdom
Paul warns against sleepwalking through life. Wisdom doesn’t drift. It
wakes up early, listens carefully, and makes the most of every moment.
This part of the passage challenges a distracted and disoriented generation
to re-engage with purpose.
Live Filled with the Spirit
Instead of numbing the ache, let God fill the emptiness. Spirit-filled living is
marked by joy, self-control, thankfulness, and worship. You don’t need
more hype. You need more of Him.
If you’ve been drifting, this message is your wake-up call. Don’t settle for
survival. Don’t coast through your calling. You were made for more. You
were made to live alive.
