WEEK 2: Keep It Light (Literally)
Intro: Hidden Doesn’t Mean Healed
It’s easy to act like everything’s fine—even when it’s not. We’ve all done it. Pretend you're not mad, say you’re “good” when you’re not, hide the habit or struggle you don’t want anyone to know about. But hiding doesn’t heal anything. It just delays freedom.
John says something bold in 1 John: God is light. That means He’s holy, honest, pure—no darkness, no secrets. And if we say we follow Him, but live in the dark? That’s not real faith. But here’s the good news: we don’t have to be afraid of the light. God invites us into it—not to expose us in shame, but to lead us to forgiveness, healing, and real connection.
This week isn’t about pretending. It’s about confession, obedience, and walking honestly with God and others. No performance. Just posture.
