DAY 1

[Read: 1 John 1:1]

📖 NIV: “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.”

📖 MSG: “From the very first day, we were there, taking it all in—we heard it with our own ears, saw it with our own eyes, verified it with our own hands.”

>> John’s saying, “We were there.” He saw Jesus. Touched Him. Ate with Him. Watched Him die—and rise again. He’s not telling secondhand stories—he’s testifying to real moments with a real Savior.

But here’s the amazing part: even though we haven’t seen Jesus with our eyes or touched Him with our hands, we still get to know Him deeply. God gave us the Holy Spirit so we can experience His presence, and He gave us the Bible so we can know His heart.

Our faith isn’t weaker just because we weren’t there in person—it’s still real.

[Think About It]

Why do you think it was important for John to talk about physically seeing and touching Jesus?

How can we still experience Jesus today—even without seeing Him face to face?

[Go Deeper]

📖 John 20:29 – Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

📖 Romans 8:16 – “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”

📖 Hebrews 4:12 – The Word of God is living and active—it speaks today.

[Reflection]

Do you ever feel like faith is just ideas and not relationship?

How would your life look different if you treated your time with Jesus like time with a real person?

[Action]

Set a 5-minute timer today, put your phone away, and just sit with God. Ask Him to speak to you through His Spirit. Then open your Bible and read one verse slowly—like it’s from someone who really knows you.
